Color Bottles will unlock unique colorways, while Rainbow Ink will unlock bonus character styles. It's randomized, but in our early experience, chests seem to include Rainbow Ink more often than not. Unlike Color Bottles, which will be explained further below, Rainbow Ink can not be seen on the map as it can spawn in any chest-or not. That means to unlock every colorway in the category, you'll need 210 total Rainbow Ink collectibles, though that's just the start-another 21 character colors are planned for later this season. Right now, there are 21 character colors for Toona Fish inspired by other characters from Fortnite, like Jonesy, Peely, and Cuddle Team Leader. You'll need to collect these in order to unlock character-inspired colors in Toona Fish's expansive customization menu. Rainbow Ink is a new randomly generated collectible you can find across the Season 8 map. Here's where you can find all of them and how to use them. Unlike last season's Alien Artifacts, there are already dozens of Color Bottles on the Season 8 map from day one, so you don't have to sit around waiting in order to get started. For the average Fortnite fan, this revelation isn't exactly a big deal, but it does go to show just how invested Epic is in making a cohesive world and narrative, even when the majority of the player-base doesn't usually take notice.įortnite is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.Fortnite Season 8 arrived this week, and both the Color Bottles and Rainbow Ink are collectible items that you'll want to grab in a hurry this season, as they will enable you to customize your Toona Fish character from the Season 8 battle pass. Like his father, Kit wants to be one of the best secret agents around, and his tiny little makeshift mech suit helps him to do just that. Fans had pretty much guessed this already, with their colored coats being near-identical matches. In one of the recent Seasons, it was confirmed that Kit was in fact Meowscles' son. That honor goes to Kit, the tiny kitten skin released all the way back in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3. Meow Skulls isn't the first relative of Meowscles introduced in Fortnite. Meowscles was also given a Toon skin last year, which gives him a black and white, 1920s animation-inspired look. Players could unlock his default appearance, as well as both the stark white GHOST outfit and the pitch-black SHADOW outfit. Meowscles originally worked for the ominous GHOST organization as a secret agent before defecting to the equally as ominous SHADOW later on in the same season. Meowscles has already had a pretty full backstory leading up to this point, being one of the main NPCs during his introductory season. You'll find your place." So, it's officially confirmed that Meow Skulls is Meowscles' little sister. But, if the player approaches them wearing the Meow Skulls skin, Meowscles will say "You've got time to figure it out, little sis. Normally, Meowscles will simply greet the player with a "Mrow.Yeah?," and offer to sell them a Slurpfish, Firefly Jar, or Rusty Can. If players head to a house on the West side of the Reality Tree point of interest, they should be able to find Meowscles, big burly cat man that's been a staple of the game since his introduction in Chapter 2, Season 2, where he also appeared as an unlockable skin in the Battle Pass. Once a player has unlocked the Meow Skulls skin, they can prompt a special line of dialogue from one of Fortnite's patrolling NPC characters. Clearly inspired by Goth culture, Meow Skulls dons a band shirt, a bandolier of tuna cans, a beanie, and a wallet chain made of fish bones. The latest in a long, long line of anthropomorphic Fortnite character skins, Meow Skulls can be obtained by purchasing all the other rewards in the fifth tier of the latest Season's Battle Pass. But for die-hard Fortnite fans, there's constantly something new to learn, and the latest lore tidbit comes from a cat skin called Meow Skulls. ![]() These updates also tend to add a smattering of lore for various characters and organizations in Fortnite's in-game world, a world which the average player probably knows very little about. Over the last five years, Fortnite has been updated an incomprehensible number of times, with map changes, new weapons, and new skins heading to the game literally every week or so. Even for the most die-hard, long-time fan, Fortnite's lore can be a little confusing. ![]()
